What's the Point..

A few examples of my final project where I had to create a campaign for a brand. I got a 2:1 overall which I'm happy about but I expected a first for the creative element and I only received a 2:1. Apparently the graphics are good but not the concept, which is ridiculous because I find the majority of the graphics poor... I'm not a trained graphic designer and produce the best that I can. My concept was colour... Acrylick are a colourful brand in image and identity. They promote self-expression and the colour splashes are a metaphor for this. I am not one to usually argue with my tutors because generally I agree with my grades but this reduced me to tears. You expect criticism and knock backs in this industry but not when they can't even justify why I don't deserve a First! Apparently its not groundbreaking... Sorry I failed to see any "groundbreaking" work from anyone in my class. I saw a lot of good work with good concepts but nothing of this nature. Unlike many other people in my class I didn't use stock images; I did all my own photography, even the splashes.
